Commonly used for roofing material due to its great insulation characteristic while being resistant to impact loads, rain water, UV protection and ozone degradation. Non-asbestos, asbestos free, material is commonly comprised of aramid fiber (Kevlar) and non-organic fibers blended with different polymers to meet different applications. Blended with nitrile rubber for fuel and oil resistance, graphite coated for non-stick and steam resistance, PTFE (Teflon) for excellent chemical resistance or EPDM for potable water applications.
